So, you've been invited to a trial session at Flyers, what next?

Updated: Sep 10, 2021

If you have received your trial invitation and have questions about what to expect, this guide will tell you everything you need to know before coming along to your session.

Trial Invitations - how they work

Invitations for trial sessions are sent out once a permanent space becomes available in the class you have registered for. If they enjoy the session then they will be able to continue attending from following week. Trials must be booked and paid for in advance via the link in the email invitation.

Trial classes are a great way for your child to try out a class before signing up to attend every week. Our coaches will also be able to assess their ability and let you know if the session is suited to their age and ability level.

When attending your first session please follow the arrival instructions for your class. These can be found in 'Venue Notes' in your invitation email.

If you cannot attend the trial date

If you cannot make the date offered to you but would still like to join at a later date, please get in touch to let us know. Please note that if you select 'Reject trial' in the invitation email then our system will automatically remove you from the waiting list. To avoid this, just email us and we can return your child to the waiting list.

What to wear

For all of our classes we recommend wearing clothes that are close fitting but allow your child to move freely. A leotard is the best choice however leggings and vest or t-shirt work well too. Please also note the following:

  • Jewellery and watches must be removed before arrival (includes stud earrings)

  • Bare feet only for gymnastics

  • Indoor soft soled trainers must be worn for cheerleading and are optional for tumbling

  • Socks must be worn for trampolining

  • Long hair must be tied back. Short hair that cannot be tied needs to be clipped back to keep it off the face

  • Please bring a water bottle to class - no other drinks or food should be brought

  • Please do not bring any valuables to class

After your trial - how to sign up

After your trial you will be sent an email inviting you to sign up as a Flyers member. To join, you will simply need to follow the link in the email and set up your monthly fees. For information about the club, membership and fees please see our membership information page.

How to pay

After attending your trial session you will be emailed a link to make a payment for annual membership and to set up a monthly subscription for training fees. Please see below for more details:

  • Annual membership

    • This is is £25 for recreational members and renews each September. (Reduced to £12.50 for members joining after April).

  • Training fees:

    • These are charged monthly by subscription payment.

    • Your first payment for training fee's will be charged on the 1st of the month after you join. The cost of any sessions that fall between your joining date & first payment date will be added to your first month's fee's. You will be emailed to confirm the amount.

    • Please note that if you are paying for multiple classes or siblings, the amount on the initial invoice may not be accurate. This is because sibling and multi-session discounts can only be applied after a subscription is set up. Once you have set up your payments, we will adjust your subscription accordingly. You will be emailed a confirmation of the amount.

    • If you have any questions about your training fee's please feel free to email us.

Class Fee's & Multi-Class Discounts

Our class fee's for the year are split into equal payments and charged monthly via your class for kids subscription account. This means that training fees are the same each month regardless of the number of classes that occur in the month. Session discounts are applied to multiple bookings. This means that they apply whether there is one child attending multiple sessions or siblings attending one or more session each. The first or most expensive class for each family is charged at full price, any additional sessions are reduced by 10%.

Session prices are as follows:

  • 1 hour recreational: £37/month

  • 2 hour recreational session: £56/month

  • Competitive teams & Squads: Please see squad info pack.

Class Cancellation

Our subscriptions run on a rolling montIy basis. In order to cancel or terminate your membership, notice must be given by the athlete or parent/guardian by the 10th of the month via our website. Membership will then be terminated at the end of the month and the athlete may continue to train in their usual session until the end of the month. If notice is given after the 10th of the month, the final payment will be due on the 1st of the subsequent month and the athlete can train in their usual session until the end of that month. If at any point you wish to cease your membership or reduce the number of classes you attend, please complete a termination form.
