COVID-19 Information & FAQs
SAFETY
We have introduced some very detailed safety measures with advice from our gymnastics & cheerleading governing bodies as well as the government guidelines.
The following outlines the various measures that we have put in place to help keep all of our members, guests and staff covid-safe whilst taking part in classes and camps.
We ask that you explain to your child and remind them before each of their classes and camps that they must follow the coaches instructions at all times and that safe-distancing will be in place inside the gym.
CLEANING & SANITISATION
Our club facilities including toilets, changing rooms, gymnastics and trampolining apparatus etc are sanitised before and after every class by staff who have been trained in the correct covid-safe cleaning methods.
Coaches and participants must use the hand sanitiser when entering and reentering the sports hall, and after visiting the toilet and we ask that participants avoid touching their face.
We are running our sessions inside school premises therefore we must comply with their cleaning protocols as well as our governing body guidelines.
SAFE DISTANCING
Safe-distancing is enforced at all classes with a one way system throughout the schools to access the gym.
Coloured markers are being used for members to stand on during static work such as warm-ups and cool downs, to keep safe distancing.
Stations for each apparatus will be separated to keep safe-distancing.
LESSON STRUCTURE & COACHING
Classes and training sessions will look and feel a little different. Our lesson plans have been restructured and adapted to be covid-safe whilst remaining a lot of FUN and ensuring that athletes can still progress with their skills safely.
-
Coaches are not physically supporting members for skills, so will be teaching using drills and stations that members do not need physical support for. However your child’s coach will always be standing close by the landing zones and tumble tracks, so rest assured that if they need to step in for any safety issues they will do so.
-
Class times and schedules have been adapted to ensure that there is enough time to sanitise all equipment in between each class. Coaches will be collecting athletes and taking them into the gym however so it is imperative that parents arrive on time to drop off and collect athletes.
